Introduction

The Kenoa - Exclusive Beach Spa& Resort has become a pioneering reference in the eco-chic concept of design resorts, located only 30km to the south of Maceio, in the Barra de Sao Miguel, it is one of the most heavenly destinations in the Brazilian northeast. The project has its own style, a fruit of the collaboration between the architect Osvaldo Tenorio and the Kenoa group. The main highlights are the primitive forms and natural essences which help create a unique identity, giving priority to colours, textures and aromas. The result is an eco-chic design resort which offers an unforgettable experience.

The Kenoa resort has 23 accommodations, which vary between 45m² and 200 m², offering guests a personalized atmosphere which is comfortable and guarantees your privacy. The project also includes the Kaamo – restaurant, wine bar and lounge, with consulting provided by the renowned chef Cesar Santos.

The Kenoa makes use of solar energy to heat all its water and power the LED lighting. Other eco-friendly activities are the reforestation practices of the native forest undertaken by the hotel, as well as the use of natural stones in lieu of industrialized materials. All this without forfeiting comfort and the latest technology

The Kenoa Resort project is accompanied by the local, naturally privileged landscape which presents a year-round, tropical climate and extremely pleasant sea water temperature.

  • 1) What was the inspiration for creating the project for the Hotel?

    To create an eco-design refuge with the client’s viewpoint, in a heavenly location where the climate is very favourable all year long and where the clients may be spoilt in a personalized manner.

    2) Which are the main differentials the hotel offers?

    Apart from the location, climate and hotel design, we must stress the tenderness and dedication the team has with each client, in a personalized manner. The Kenoa Resort is as gorgeous as it is private, a place where luxury is defined by natural beauty. Intimate without being intrusive, the Kenoa Resort style of service is practiced by a well-trained team which captures your preferences and needs without your perception

    3) How have Trousseau products added value to the hotel?

    The comfort of the bed is essential so that the customer may rest. The Trousseau bed products bring comfort allied to quality and beauty.

    4) Which activities and outings are most sought after in the region? Which are offered by the hotel?

    We have many activities and outings (surfing lessons, SUP, diving, outing to the mouth of the Sao Fransisco river, among others), but the most interesting outing is the Oyster Experience. A social, cultural, ecological, and gastronomic experience. During this experience, the client meets the community which explores an oyster breeding ground and make a canoe trip through the swamps and lagoon where they enjoy a tasting of oysters taken right out of the water.

    5) If you had only 72 hours in Marau, what would you recommend doing and seeing?

    Arrive enjoying our welcome drink and see the hotel. Our staff can help you unpack. Enjoy the afternoon at the pool, discovering tropical fruits in our caipirinhas and ordering skewers of octopus, lobster or shrimp. In the evening make your way to the spa for a Wako Kenoa massage. Before dinner go up to the wine bar and choose your wine as they prepare your dinner. Don’t forget to try the sururu soup and one of our cataplans.

    The second option is for those who want to enjoy the beach and a hammock... For those, the best place in the world is here!!! Take a stroll on the beach, lie on a chaise long in the shade, holding a cashew or cocoa honey caipirinha and letting the day go by slowly...

    After dinner, you simply must go up to our lounge on the terrace and choose an exclusive Kenoa drink. I suggest the banana Frozen. Enjoy the star lit sky or the full moon.

    Wake up and enjoy our differentiated breakfast, try our tapiocas and tropical fruit juices. Take part in our Oyster Experience, a 3-hour experience that will surprise you. Take the opportunity to lunch by the pool, have some Japanese food and some sparkling wine. Don’t forget to have a stroll on the beach at low tide. And you must have a new massage, choose the Balinese and bask in our saunas. Schedule this night for the degustation menu to have a memorable gastronomic experience. Take the opportunity to see our bazaar and choose a film to watch in the room.

    On your last day enjoy the hotel to the most. Breakfast in the room, lunch by the pool – choose the fish in a salt crust. Take pictures in the panoramic windows of the pool, revel in the hotels long boards or perhaps only relax with the sound of the sea and the music.
